Analysis of RFID Tag Working Principle

    Category: Computers & Electronics

Hello, Oprfid technologies to answer the above questions. RFID tag workflow diagram, RFID reader and writer are unknown to many people. Now let's have a look!

    1. Generally speaking, readers can read and write at the following frequencies:

    2. 125kHz low frequency, and its protocol is iso11784/11785.

    3. 13.56MHz high frequency, and its protocols include iso15693, etc.

    4. 915MHz UHF, its protocol is 18000-6b/6c.

    5. Since each frequency involves different reader antennas, generally speaking, a reader can only recognize tags of one frequency band, but it can recognize multiple protocol standard tags of the same frequency band.

    6. For RFID system, the concept of frequency band refers to the frequency range of tag signals sent, received and read by the reader through the antenna. In terms of application concept, the working frequency of RFID tag is the working frequency of RFID system, which directly determines all aspects of the application characteristics of the system. In the RFID system, the working principle of the system is the same as that of listening to FM radio at ordinary times. The RF tag and reader can work only when they are modulated to the same frequency. The working frequency of RFID tag not only determines the working principle (inductive coupling or electromagnetic coupling) and recognition distance of RFID system, but also determines the difficulty and equipment cost of RFID tag and reader. The frequency band or frequency point occupied by RFID application is internationally recognized ISM frequency band. Typical operating frequencies are: 125kHz, 133khz, 13.56MHz, 27.12MHz, 433MHz, 902 MHz ~ 928 MHz, 2.45GHz, 5.8GHz, etc.

    7. According to different working frequencies, RFID tags can be divided into low frequency (LF), high frequency (HF), ultra high frequency (UHF) and microwave. The working principle of RFID in different frequency bands is different. RFID tags in LF and HF bands generally adopt the principle of electromagnetic coupling, and RFID tags in UHF and microwave bands generally adopt the principle of electromagnetic emission. At present, the frequencies widely used in the world are distributed in four frequency bands: low frequency (125kHz), high frequency (13.54mhz), ultra-high frequency (850 MHz ~ 910 MFZ), microwave (2.45GHz).
