AVOID ENGINE KNOCK

Category: Business

My cousin asked me one day if I am familiar with engine knock because, he said, his friend suffered engine knock in one of his utility vehicles a few months earlier. I told him I am not totally familiar wih the technical meaning of the term but that I have a working knowledge of it because a friend also had an engine knock on his vehicle once. My cousin said he sympathized with his friend because the vehicle that was knocked down was the only vehicle that his friend used for his hauling business. The incident immobilized his friend for several months as he had no other means to pursue his hauling business productively and profitably. He said he hoped that it would not happen to him, although he had several other vehicles available for use once one of them got disabled or become unserviceable. My cousin spoke too soon. Barely one month after my visit to him, he called me up again to drop by his place if I am not too busy. When I came to see him, he brought me direct to his garage. Lo and behold, his workhorse, Nissan 4-wheel drive pick-up van, was resting peacefully inside his garage, a victim of engine knock! My cousin said he did not kow what happened; he just heard the clattering and clashing of metals inside the engine, and that was that; the pick-up van's engine stopped working and the vehicle won't move so he had it towed to his garage. I suggested that my cousin immediately see those wonderful guys who are known throughout Kearney, Buffalo County and Central Nebraska for offering the best car care service and quality customer assistance in town. They are known to be the premier provider of the best automotive maintenance services, auto detailing, oil change, car wash, and vehicle cleaning services in Kearney, Buffalo County, and Central Nebraska. The automotive maintenance services guys told my cousin that the incident was a simple case of negligence on his part. Although my cousin regularly filled the oil sump with engine oil up to the normal level, he nevertheless failed to check or notice if the oil tube that supplied the oil to the engine remained intact. In this particular incident, the oil tube got entangled with some hard object underneath the pick-up van and developed a leak. That leak drained all the available oil inside the oil sump and when the oil got drained, the engine knocked.
