Child Day Care- Why Do You Need It At All

Dear parents, Our children teach us something new and amazing everyday at ipsaa. I wanted to share those learnings with you. Almost all of us want to learn, grow, be successful, be happy, there is always something we want, even if it is the status quo and somewhere we do the same for our children. Many of us are content to accept what life or fate doles out to us, and structure what we want within these “givens”. Some of us take it upon ourselves to search for what we want. And then, most often we search in places we are familiar with, with a few people we are comfortable with , in places where there is light… The Ipsaa beckoning is to do a bit of searching in the darkness, in unknown areas and in unfamiliar ways. Invariably, if our search leads to real meaningfulness or transformation, it is because we free ourselves to get our own insights, to choose our own kind of adventure or direction. At Ipsaa we urge you to “discover the child within”. It is a search for wholesomeness , both “ in the being and the becoming” through continuous self enquiry. To get in touch with your once spontaneous self, to marvel at the simple joys of life, to watch birds in flight, or dance in the rain or hop onto a rickshaw and see places in a new light. Our children bring to us this heightened sense of the now, being in the moment, reacting not outwardly, but processing it from within. Observe yourself with your children, don’t react, but respond to them, remember how you once were as a child and approach them from that place. It will help you balance your inner ecology, make deeper connections with your loved ones. I want to share in this context, a lovely poem by Rabindranath Tagore Child, how happy you are sitting in the dust, Playing with a broken twig all morning I smile at your play with that little twig I am busy with my accounts, adding up figures by the hour. Perhaps you glance at me and think, “What a stupid game to spoil your morning with!” Child, I have forgotten the art of being absorbed in sticks and mud-pies. I seek out costly playthings, and gather lumps of gold and silver With whatever you find you create your glad games, I spend both my time and my strength over things I never can obtain. In my frail canoe I struggle to cross the sea of desire, and forget that I too am playing a game. So dear parents, drench that parched soul in a rain of childish joy. Every once a while, wear your baby lenses and relive your childhood with your children. It’s amazing how much more you will enjoy adulthood if you can keep alive the child within.
