Cryptocurrency Prices Today: Bitcoin and Ethereum Drop, Cardano Jumps

Cardano rose 10.88 per cent to Rs 127.40 and Avalanche fell 3.95 per cent to Rs 6,938.36. Bitcoin closed 0.94 per cent lower at Rs 33,76,785 and Ethereum down 2.65 per cent at Rs 2,57,489.5. Bitcoin is currently priced at Rs 33 lakh and has dominated the crypto market by 40.19 percent in the last 24 hours. The global cryptocurrency market capitalization declined by 2.26 percent to $2.02 trillion in the past 24 hours, while trading volume rose 21.51 percent to $77.49 billion as of January 18. While decentralized finance (DeFi) accounted for 15.93 percent of total 24-hour crypto trading volume at $12.34 billion, stablecoins accounted for 77.67 percent of total volume at $60.19 billion.
