Difference between steam carpet cleaning & dry cleaning Melbourne

Category: Home & Garden

There is always a question of carpet dry cleaning or steam cleaning, which one is the best. There are two methods of professional carpet cleaning commonly used steam cleaning or hot water extraction, and dry cleaning. Here we can see the differences and benefits between steaming cleaning and dry cleaning. Winter or Rainy season, these seasons always have leaking roofs and muddy feet leaving stains and dirt on your carpets. According to the Carpet, cleaners maintaining your carpet properly will help to retain its original appearance as long as possible and can improve the quality of the environment in your property. Hot water extraction or steam cleaning is a method that works by forcing hot water into the carpet using a high-pressure jet spray and then vacuuming the water out. When the water is extracted, the dirt and stains, and soiling will be extracted with the water leaving the carpet clean. Effective steam cleaners will treat stains to remove with the appropriate cleaning agents and use a pre-spray to break down surface stains in the carpet to allow the water to penetrate deeply into the carpet before extraction. This is typically performed using either a portable machine or a truck-mounted. Your steam-cleaning technician will vacuum the carpet to remove dust or surface dirt, any stains, and marks. The cleaning agent uses a spray to soften the surface stains of the carpet. Drying time following a hot water extraction treatment will vary, It may take 6 – 8 hours typical to dry. If your carpet takes longer than 24 hours to dry, your technician has not extracted enough water during the cleaning process. Carpet dry cleaning is used to firstly pre-vacuumed to remove the dry soil. A pre-vacuum should be performed before steam cleaning. As well as when dry soils become wet they turn to mud and are harder to extract. The carpet is then treated with a carpet dry cleaning solution which is a combination of dry cleaning solutions carried in water. The carpet dry cleaning solution breaks down the hard stains in the carpet which holds the dirt to the carpet fibers so that the soils and stains can be easily removed. Cotton absorbent pads are immersed in hot water with a conditioning rinse and placed on the carpet under a rotary machine (like a modified high-speed floor polisher). The pads are spun around on the carpet at high speed and the dirt is released from the carpet on the pads and the pads are continually changed in the cleaning process. vacuum the carpet properly to remove any surface dust or dirt. Apply a dry cleaning solution of cleaning chemicals and water, then it is applied to the carpet. This solution is formulated to break down the carpet fibers, releasing any build-up of residue, which traps dirt in the fibers, allowing the dirt and soiling to be extracted. This uses a machine fitted with rotating pads that spin at high speed on the carpet, absorbing dirt. The pads are made from absorbent cotton which is soaked in a mixture of hot water and conditioning solution. These are changed throughout the cleaning process as they become soiled.
