Anavil Community 4. Audhelia Caste 5. Baidya Community Napita Nau Napita Nau is the barber caste who was also known as Hajam. The work of Napita Nau is to shave the head as well as the face. He cuts the nails both of hands and feet, cleans the ears the barber plays an important part in village life, spreading news and matchmaking. In many social ceremonies, his position ranks next to that of the Brahman. On occasion of a funeral, he shaves the head of the living and of the dead; and invites friends and relatives to the funeral. Bahna Caste Bahna caste is the traditional working caste of cotton-cleaners. With the coming of the modern technology, the Bahna have gone into different jobs like selling fabric, agriculture, manufacturing and trade. They have several traditional customs and ceremonies. Bahna caste is considered as a mixed group. In their societies, a girl receives half the share of a boy of the inherited property. Anavil Community Anavil Brahmins are a community of Brahmins who, despite not being numerically superior, are particularly dominant in the Surat and Bulsar districts of south Gujarat, India, where they have been significant land-owners and have an influential role in politics. Audhelia Caste Audhelia caste is considered as a small hybrid caste of India. Audhelia caste is exclusively found in Bilaspur District. The name of the caste is derived from the term Udharia. The Audhelias are mainly associated with the rearing of pigs and farm labourers. The Audhelias prohibit marriage within the same clan. Girls get married at a tender age between five and seven years. In their society widow marriage and divorce are freely allowed. Baidya Community Baidya (Bengali: বৈদ্য), also known as Vaidya is a Bengali Hindu community located in the Bengal region. A caste (jāti) of Ayurvedic physicians. They do not believe in amassing wealth and enjoy life as long as health and means permit. The Baidya is one of the most respected castes in Bengal ranking immediately after the Vaishyas, and before the Kayastha. They hold many distinctive positions compared to lower Hindu castes. Talented, cultured and intelligent as a class, the percentage of literacy and education of the Baidyas is much higher than that of any other community in Bengal.
