About E-Governance 1. E-governance is the term used to describe the use of communication and information technology for governance. Transparent dissemination of information to the general public is possible with e-governance. 2. The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) by the government to provide and facilitate government services, the exchange of information, communication transactions, and the integration of various standalone systems and services is referred to as electronic governance or e-governance. 3. To put it another way, it refers to the use of technology to carry out the functions of the government and accomplish the goals of governance. Government services are made accessible to citizens and businesses in a way that is convenient, effective, and transparent through e-governance. Digital India, the National Portal of India, the Prime Minister of India Portal, Aadhaar, online tax filing and payment, digital land management systems, the Common Entrance Test, and other examples are all examples of e-governance.
