Eating Out At Copenhagen

Category: Business

Travelers to Copenhagen will have a field day sampling what the city has to offer in terms of food. Dining establishments in Copenhagen range from classy, conventional eateries serving various kinds of international cuisine to locally sourced, innovative restaurants. Whatever your preference, Copenhagen cuisine is sure to tickle your palate as well as introduce you to a range of new foods. The restaurant scene in Copenhagen is an attraction in itself. From reasonably priced bistros to Michelin-starred places, one thing you can be sure of is the focus on high quality, seasonal ingredients and an unpretentious take on dining out. Travelers can explore the wealth of restaurants and food shops that Copenhagen has to offer but just don’t expect sun-dried tomatoes or foie gras. Nordic gastronomy was not exactly talk of the town but has changed dramatically over a decade and the capital now boasts an array of fine dine restaurants, including the stylishly unavailable Noma. The chances of getting a table at Noma are not very good with many waiting for a table for months. However, Noma has earned this distinction as it led the way by putting signature Nordic cuisine on the international map. It was also voted Best Restaurant for a couple of years. The restaurant aims to showcase the very best of Nordic food so guests can expect local delicacies beautifully presented by head chef Rene Redzepi. A must for luxury travelers! Another worthy mention is Formel B. The owners have devised a menu that uses only the finest local produce which is then turned into heavenly French cuisine. The menu is six-course which changes every month and the wine menu lists up to 400 vintages. Run by Rasmus Kofoed, Geranium claims to have the ‘Best chef in the world’ after winning the Bocuse d’Or award in 2011. The cuisine is local but high on quality and often uses biodynamical products often creating gastronomic masterpieces, making it a restaurant of choice for Copenhagen’s social elite. Not to be left behind, Era Ora, has won a well-deserved Michelin star and serves premium Italian fare. A place where the who’s who comes to hobnob, the restaurant serves innovative dishes in an antique dining room in wood finish. Also the wine cellar features an impressive 90,000 bottles of Italian wine. Other spots to eat out are Kong Hans Kaelder, Herman, Alberto K at the Royal and the Michelin-starred Thai resto, Kiin Kiin. The present scenario illustrates the revolution of the Copenhagen restaurant scene where it’s all about high quality, seasonal ingredients and wild innovation, much like shazé, the Indian luxury retailer. Incepted in 2001, shaze is no stranger to risk taking and forayed into the world of luxury products to bridge the then existing gap to serve design enthusiasts with a delectable palate of international products. shazé understood from the beginning the risk involved in gunning for the country’s elite and has stood by its resolve to promote and retail objets de luxe to the ever increasing group of informed consumers. Focusing on design, shazé has made a formidable entry into the luxury market and appeals to the likes of aesthetes, art lovers, business travelers, risqué stylists, celebrities, and design aficionados. The products in itself offer a kaleidoscopic part of life that enriches the fabric of work and existence. - See more at: http://www.shaze.in/blog
