ICFs don’t add fuel to a fireplace. The enlarged polyethylene forms are treated with flame retardants. In fact, ICF walls will stand up to continuous exposure to fireplace and temperatures of up to a pair of,2000 degrees F for as long as four hours while not experiencing structural failure. Compare this to a wood-frame wall which will collapse in Associate in Nursing hour or less.
