Garage door repair in Bellevue

I'm a first time home owner and first time having to deal with a garage door problem. We moved in the house and the garage door wasn't opening or closing. We were informed about the garage door and thought sure we can just fix it ourselves. "Nope!" So we ended up calling around looking for a garage door company that could service our door. For some reason not a lot of companies do that. "I know right?" Most of them are just a walk in store where you buy parts. Some of them would come by and fix but boy they're not cheap. So I finally told my husband lets just get it over it and just go with a local company. They came over and looked at the problem and gave us quote. "Wtf!" they kept telling us that our door was completely dead and repair isn't an option. They said we needed a new operator and new parts for everything. "I mean the everything looked alright". So I told my husband this can't be right and decided to let them go and called another company. We ended up calling Bellevue Garage Doors. They came and diagnosed the problem and told us it was the operator and it can be repaired. So pretty much the other company was having us replace a repairable operator for a brand new one. Can you see the part where we were getting conned into spending unneccesary money? Im just saying, don't go with the first choice and keep on calling around to get right service you need without getting F***** over. Im writing this just to share and hopefully save someone who comes across this problem.
