    GET YOUR RESEARCH PAPER PUBLISHED!!

    Category: Education

Academics is no longer reserved for the privileged or gifted. Today, academia has become a rat race, and there is cut-throat competition when it comes to getting your research paper published in a peer reviewed journal. Why are people so keen on getting published, you ask? Well, in a world where earning a Master’s or a PhD degree is as common as the Sun rising from the east, how else will you stand out? It does not matter if your wish to pursue an academic or non-academic field. The number of academic papers you have published and the journals you have published them in is what carves a niche for you. And most importantly, if no one has read your paper, then it doesn’t exist. The process of developing a publishing strategy is something that starts simultaneously with writing your research paper. We begin to develop a rationale about the journals we wish to target as soon as we sit with a pen and paper, or as is the case these days, our laptops. So, below is a list of steps that may help you strategize better to get your research paper published. Figure out the scope of the journals that you wish to publish in. Select at least eight to ten target journals and do not rely on just one. Know your target audience because that dictates the tone and the approach for writing your paper. Clarify authorship right from the start. Present your research paper at a conference to test its reception. Be aware of the requirements of the journal you wish to publish in. Respond to editors or reviewers graciously. Make all the changes required for re-submission. Get rid of all the grammatical and English language errors! Aim for high-impact and well-established journals. Adhere to the ethical codes of publication. Do not report someone else’s work as yours. Do not get dejected by rejection. I agree it is a pretty daunting task, not just for those new to the research field. It is difficult to guarantee publication but what you can do is avoid your research paper being rejected for grammar and English language issues. You are the expert in your subject area, but experts make mistakes too and facing rejection because of English and grammar errors is just unnecessary. So, do not hesitate getting your research paper checked by an academic editing company!! Here’s wishing you good luck with your research paper!!
