Introduction To Rfid Handheld Reader

RFID is the abbreviation of radio frequency identification, which means radio frequency identification. It is a non-contact automatic identification technology. It is widely used in logistics management. Its working principle is to conduct non-contact two-way communication through radio frequency, and use wireless transceiver (commonly known as "passive RFID tag") to obtain information and transmit it to computer or automatic control system, so as to achieve the purpose of automatic identification and management of articles.

At present, there are two types of common reader / writer devices in the market: fixed reader/writer and handheld  RFID reader. Handheld RFID reader devices usually use batteries as the power supply. The external dimensions of the reader / writer are generally less than 10cmx10cmx1cm. Currently, RFID handheld devices sold in the domestic market mainly have the following types:

1、 UHF products UHF products refer to products with a frequency of 13.56MHz.

2、 Microwave products microwave products refer to products with a frequency of 2450MHz.

3、 Low frequency products low frequency products refer to products with a frequency lower than 2.4GHz (such as SIM cards).

4、 Dual band products dual band products refer to devices that support two different frequency band products at the same time. (e.g. mobile phone).

The following points should be noted when selecting and using RFID handheld terminal:

1. Select the appropriate model as required;

2. The reading distance should be appropriate;

3. Pay attention to waterproof performance;

4. Avoid high temperature and humidity environment;

5. Pay attention to performance indicators such as anti falling, shock, dust and moisture;

6. Try to select the model with USB interface (convenient for data exchange).
