Paddle mixers are ideal for mixing solids or liquids with different particle sizes, densities, and viscosities. In a delicate but complete mixing action, they scoop, lift, and tumble. While being joined, the material moves in three dimensions. The material is dragged continuously from the mixer's ends to the center, where the most intensive mixing takes place. Paddle mixers also have the benefit of being able to function well at only 20% of their rated capacity, allowing for more batch size flexibility. It's also easier to clean between batches using paddle-style agitators.
