Pigments can be considered as the heart and the soul of the textile industry, although pigments and dyes are used in a most of industries, right from coating to construction and everything in between. However, it is estimated that around 70% of pigments produced are consumed by the textile industry alone. Thus, textile industry is the primary consumer of pigments.
