Satlar Shapla Beel is a beel located in Barisal district of Bangladesh. Satla village of Uzirpur upazila, about 60 km away from Barisal Sadar. The name of the bill is Satla Bill. However, due to the reign of Shuffler, it is now known as Shapla Bill. The size of the naturally formed bill is about 200 acres. Three types of water lilies grow in the bill - red, white and purple. However, red shaplai is more. Travel-thirsty nature lovers are flocking from different parts of the country every day to see the water lilies of this fascinating bill. The water lily usually stays in the bill from July to October. Shuffler Beel is not only a beauty but also a number of families in those areas are making a living by picking watermelon from the bill and selling it in the local market. Many of the residents here depend on the shuffler of this bill. Some of them are making a living by picking water lilies; some of them are catching fish from the bill and selling it in the market.
