PCOS ( Polycystic Ovarian Disease) / PCOD ( Polycystic Ovarian Disease) affects a woman’s hormone levels, a reproductive endocrine disorder. It is a lifestyle disorder seen in women between the ages of 15 to 44. PCOS is a condition where ovaries produce higher than normal amounts of male hormones called androgens. Due to PCOD, the ovaries release many immature or partially mature eggs that eventually turn into cysts. The common can be oligo-ovulation or anovulation, hyperandrogenism, and the presence of polycystic ovaries. Its incidence has gradually increased as high as 5%- 10%.
