Why is CA tough to pass?

The CA exam is designed in such a way that it produces professionals who can handle complex business and financial challenges. The exam is overseen by the ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) which expects candidates to possess theoretical knowledge along with practical skills which can be applied to real-world situations in the business domain. If you wish to understand why the CA exam is so difficult you need to understand its focus areas and structure as well. The exam is divided into three levels — CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CA Final. All these levels are as challenging as it gets with pass rates between 5% and 20%. This particular rate varies from batch to batch and the attempts being made by the participants. The ICAI also wants to make sure that only the most capable and prepared candidates succeed.
