blog details: Continuous Performance Management (CPM) will be upgraded to the latest version with this 2H 2023 release. Those using the legacy version will be upgraded to the latest version, though have the option to revert to legacy from the Upgrade Center. The universal upgrade to the latest version will occur with the 1H 2024 release. This change affects those still using the legacy version of Continuous Performance Management (CPM). If you’re already on the latest version of CPM, this feature doesn’t apply to you and no action is necessary. As part of our lifecycle management, everyone is upgraded to the latest version of Continuous Performance Management (CPM) prior to the sunset of the legacy version. Replacement of legacy CPM was announced in 2022 and the legacy version is scheduled for deletion in May of 2024 (1H 2024). The latest version of Continuous Performance Management (CPM) helps improve employee engagement and overall workforce performance by providing more continuous dialogue between managers and employees. With this continuous approach, managers have increased visibility into employee activities and achievements, enabling them to provide guidance when it’s relevant. Employees also may request or receive feedback at any time, to or from anyone in the organization. The latest version provides users with a new UI along with an improved experience with activities, meetings, and achievements. The latest version introduced new functionality including support for users with multiple roles and feedback from multiple stakeholders. Configuration Requirements An administrator goes to Admin Center >Tools > Upgrade Center and under Optional Upgrades, selects the Rollback to Legacy Version of Continuous Performance Management. Configuration Requirements Role-Based Permission Prerequisites: You have the Administrator > Admin Center Permissions > Manage Upgrade Center permission. The latest version of Continuous Performance Management (CPM) requires the User > Continuous Performance User Permission > Access to Continuous Performance Management permission to access CPM. This permission wasn’t required for the legacy version, though is a mandatory permission for the latest version. Continuous Feedback and Continuous Performance are independent modules in CPM with their own configuration access and permission requirements. Note: The latest version of CPM requires a specific role-based permission configuration. When access permission to Continuous Performance has been given to a manager, usually a target population is assigned for that permission. In that target population setting, the Manager role MUST have the Include Access To Granted User (Self) checkbox selected, or they won’t see their own CPM activities. What’s Changed The Upgrade Center includes a selection to Roll back to Legacy Version of Continuous Performance Management. The description of the rollback in the Upgrade Center.
