As of 2019, gender diversity at business schools had increased according to data from a non profit Forte Foundation. Why is diversity and inclusion so important in MBA programs? Each one of us are unique, yet we all want to be part of a group. Being diverse is good, but it is not good enough if there is no sense of belongingness. Improving diversity and inclusion in our communities, schools and workplace is a key to achieving social justice. MBA students are the flag bearers of diversity. Why diversity is important for MBA grads is to connect organisations with customers. Attracting a wider market share is not the only reason why diversity is important. It is also the social responsibility of companies to include diversity in the workplace in order to make the world a better place. Diversity in MBA programs result in greater understanding among students. This helps students to value different viewpoints of people from diverse backgrounds.
