Embarking on an unforgettable journey to Nubra Valley, we braved the stunning landscapes of Ladakh, adorned in warm woolens and armed with oxygen cylinders and a playlist of our favorite songs. As we navigated the winding roads flanked by towering mountains, we found ourselves in a fairy tale where snowfall brought pure joy and wonder. Our adventure led us to the world’s highest motorable road, Khardungla Pass, where chai and momos tasted like heaven at 17,582 feet.
Inching closer to Nubra, we marveled at the vibrant settlements nestled by the Shyok River, with locals tending to fields and orchards. Finally, we reached Hunder, known as the "Desert in Heaven," where wooden cottages and a flowing stream welcomed us. The evening unfolded under a starlit sky, sharing stories around a crackling campfire, enveloped in gratitude for nature's beauty.
As we prepared to leave for our next destination, Pangong Tso Lake, the memories of this magical journey lingered, reminding us of the importance of stepping out of our comfort zones and embracing the wonders of the world.
